It's official. The Nanuet Mall is closed—although Sears and Macy's will still be open via respective exterior entrances. Mall Owner Simon Property closed the building Wednesday to demolish and construct the Shops at Nanuet.
Patch stopped by the Nanuet Mall on Wednesday to find all doors locked with 'No Trespassing' signs and Banchetto Feast moving out some furniture and kitchen equipment. Mario's Barber Shop and Unisex Hair Palace relocated to the previous HobbyTown USA store adjacent to the mall. The place should be completely ready by Friday, said Barber Kino Gara.
Many memories were created at this mall. Here's a chance to reminisce about the Nanuet Mall.

When is Simon Properties going to turn on the street lamps in the Rt 59 commuter parking lot so my car doesn't get broken into again?

Hi, Banchetto Feast is moving to the outskirts of the Nanuet Mall property and will be located along Middletown Road across from Stop and Shop. There's more information in these two Patch articles: http://patch.com/A-q6l6 and http://patch.com/A-pgqL
