Pearl River Boys Soccer Wins Senior Day Game

The Pearl River boys soccer team defeated Spring Valley, 3-1, in its senior day game Oct. 18.

Senior Alec Zbar scored two goals and senior Mike Vinci added one to lead Pearl River to a 3-1 victory over Spring Valley at home Tuesday.

Senior goalkeeper Justin Cueva made six saves in the victory and junior Alex Castillo added two assists. Junior Giovanni Galvano set up the opening goal of the contest.

Pearl River honored seniors Sam Berry, Cueva, Daniel Duggan, Andrew Guarino, Hans Lueders, Connor McIntyre, Rajat Rao, Jared Schlosser, Jake Tedesco and Vinci and their families before the start of the game.

Pearl River (12-1-1) will play for its league championship 6 p.m. Thursday at Tappan Zee. The teams tied, 1-1, in their first meeting of the season.
