Pearl River Schools Go Blue for Autism Awareness

Pearl River School District students and staff will wear blue in recognition of World Autism Awareness Day Tuesday.

The Pearl River School District is encouraging students and staff to wear blue in support of World Autism Awareness Day. 

The Pearl River Special Education PTA is calling on local businesses to take part in Light it Up Blue Rockland, a month-long campaign to raise awareness of autism and to raise money for Autism Speaks.

Austism Speaks is a 501c3 non-profit organization which funds research into the causes and potential treatments for Autism, supports improved community awareness and provices advocats for people with autism and their families.

Light it Up Blue Rockland encourages local businesses to show their support with the color blue and to make donations to Autism Speaks.
