Pearl River Teams Fall in Conference 4 Tennis Tournament

Three Pearl River doubles teams reached the Conference 4 Girls Tennis Tournament Tuesday at Tappan Zee High School.

All three were eliminated. Molly Powers and Lauren Bellante lost to Marissa Kozinsky and Leah Harris of Clarkstown South, 6-2, 6-2.The Nyack team of Klarissa Armada and Kristen Soeder defeated Shannon McGuinness and Stacey Wang of Pearl River, 6-1, 6-1.

Rachel Broudy and Aileen Burke came the closest to advancing for Pearl River, falling in sets to Tappan Zee's team of Nicole Balm and Diana Yu, 7-6 (8-6), 3-6, 10-8.

The tournament will continue 3 p.m. Wednesday at Tappan Zee.
