The result was one of the most extraordinary collections of paintings in history – including the super famous “School of Athens!” Join Dr. Rocky for this free webinar where he will examine Raphael’s celebrated frescoes in the former apartments of Pope Julius II, which are better known as the “Stanze.”

Fifteen local artists in varied disciplines share the sources of their inspiration, each using ten slides and twenty seconds per slide to explain them in a fast paced, entertaining, and enlightening evening to benefit Rivertown Film Society. Participants include Event MC: DAVID NOVARRO, anchor for WABC-TV News, and honorees GEORGIA STITT, composer; KRIS CAMPBELL, conceptual artist; LAURIE SEEMAN, place-based artist; ASHLEY DAWSON, filmmaker; RICHARD CONNOLLY, writer, editor, publisher and producer; ASHLEY GERST, animator; JUDITH ROSE, movement artist; SHAWN RAWLS, dancer; DEREK TARSON, actor, director; FRANK OLIVIER, actor, illustrator; J.D. ZEIK, screenwriter; KATHLEEN COLLINS, filmmaker (represented posthumously by her son); CHERYL BAUN, restaurateur; MARIA LUISA WHITTINGHAM of Maria Luisa Boutique; and JODI REDHAGE FERBER, cellist.
