Check Out Library Activities, Special High School Drama Performance

Each day, Patch provides the nuts and bolts of local happenings with our five-bullet local dispatch. 

  1. There will be a special free performance for senior citizens only of the Pearl River High School Drama, William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream," at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the high school auditorium. The regular performances will be 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Tickets for those are $10 at the door. 
  2. Barnes & Noble on the fourth floor of Palisades Center Mall in West Nyack will share What's Your Favorite Animal?, a book of illustrations and personal stories by Eric Carle and 13 other children's book artists talking about their favorite animals and why they love them. This is a free reading of the book along with other activities for children. Read more here
  3. The cold weather will continue Wednesday with a projected high temperature of 23 degrees and a low at night near 11, with morning clouds expected to clear by the afternoon.
  4. With Pearl River High School students taking Regents Exams, Pearl River Public Library is offering teen study sessions. Wednesday's sessions are from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Community Room.
  5. The Pearl River Public Library Knit and Crochet group meets with instructor Arlene Bernhardt from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Pearl River Room. All levels of skill are welcome and no registration is required.
