National Weather Service Warns of Snow

  1. The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning for Pearl River and the surrounding area that will last from noon Tuesday through 6 a.m. Wednesday. The snow is expected to begin to fall late Tuesday morning, getting heavier in the afternoon and evening, with an accumulation of four to eight inches. 
  2. The Pearl River School District Board of Education will meet 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the district administration building on Crooked Hill Road in Pearl River. The board is expected to act on Superintendent Dr. John Morgano's retirement
  3. The Orangetown Council will hold a workshop meeting 8 p.m. at Orangetown Town Hall in Orangeburg.

  5. The Professional Baseball Instruction & Baseball Health Network 2014 Pitching Summit begins at 6 pm.. at the Sheraton Crosssroards in Mahwah, N.J. The event features former Atlanta Braves Pitching Coach Leo Mazzone, famous for his work with newly-elected Hall of Famers Greg Maddux and Tom Glavine and likely future addition John Smoltz.
