Rockland Hospice Fundraiser, Pearl River Sports Scrimmages

1) Tappan Zee High School's Youth for Hospice chapter will hold a fundraiser starting 4 p.m. today at Little Scoops at 500 Route 303 in Orangenburg. Members of Youth for Hospice will be scooping ice cream, painting faces and providing tattoos. United Hospice of Rockland will receive 20 percent of all proceeds from 4 p.m. to close and $25 for each party booked. There will also be a raffle. 2) Pearl River fall sports are in their second week of practice. The boys soccer team will scrimmage Teaneck 10 a.m. Thursday at home. The field hockey team plays at 4 p.m. at Ramsey. 

3) Thursday will be mostly sunny with temperatures in the low-eighties. The UV index is "high," so apply sunblock if you're headed outside for an extended period of time.
