AMERICAN LEGION POST 1199 OF PEARL RIVER PRESENTS CHECK TO HOMES FOR HEROES

American Legion James H. Anderson Post 1199 of Pearl River reached out to give their fellow Veterans a fresh start in life via a donation to Homes for Heroes, which is building affordable housing for homeless and disabled Veterans.  Homes for Heroes is built on Camp Shanks, in Tappan, N.Y., from which over 1.3 million GI’s left to fight in Europe during WWII.  Dominic Filippone, Ken Schwegler, and John Fahey met Homes For Heroes President, Legislator John Murphy, at the site to present their generous check of $750.

To help support the men and women who bravely and honorably served our nation, monetary donations can be mailed to Homes For Heroes, Inc., One Blue Hill Plaza, P.O. Box 1648, Pearl River, NY 10965 or credit card donations can be made via www.RocklandHomesForHeroes.Com.  Please call Sarah Wade at 845-735-0515, if you have any further questions.
