Education In Ireland Hosts Event For NY Community To Learn About Benefits Of Overseas Study

Interested in studying overseas? Education in Ireland is hosting a free information session and fair on Thursday, 10/11 from 7 – 9 p.m. at the Pearl River High School for local students, their families, school staff and community members to learn about the many educational opportunities available overseas.  Ireland is one of the top ten destinations for U.S. students to study abroad.  Since last year, there has been a 43% spike in enrollments from US students to Irish schools – with many coming from New York. When compared to U.S. higher education, Irish universities offer students the opportunity to specialize earlier, are comparable or less costly than many U.S. colleges, and provide a unique cultural experience that students use as a differentiator when entering the job market.

This is a great chance to have one-on-one discussions about the schools, Irish culture, application process, and post-graduate job opportunities with key alumni and representatives from seven top Irish universities, including:

•Trinity College Dublin, www.tcd.ie

•Dublin City University, www.dcu.ie

•National University of Ireland, Galway, www.nuigalway.ie

•National University of Ireland, Maynooth, www.nuim.ie

•University College Cork, www.ucc.ie

•University College Dublin, www.ucd.ie

•University of Limerick, www.ul.ie
