Gina Cimmelli New Album Release Gina’s Picture Show CD Release Event At Joe’s Pub

Brooklyn, NY (July 23, 2012)—Gina Cimmelli is thrilled to announce the release of her first EP album, “Gina’s Picture Show” after her well-received single “Don’t Be Mad.” Her CD Release performance will take place on Monday night, August 13, 2012 at 9:00pm at the famous lower Manhattan music venue, Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater located at Lafayette Street in New York City. Joe’s Pub is New York City’s most celebrated and in-demand showcase locations for live music.

Gina’s first single “Don’t Be Mad” garnered a host of honors. It won, the Vox Pop Award for Folk/Singer Songwriter in the 10th Annual Independent Music Award, the Searchlight: In Search of a Song Competition, featured on Next with Chris Bro, 107.1 - The Peak, and her band was recently featured in an on-air interview on Sirius XM Radio, the Coffee House Channel.  The song charted on The Roots Music Report, Deli Magazine, the Independent Music Network, and iHeartRadio.

Born and raised in New York, singer/songwriter & indie pop artist, Gina Cimmelli and her band, Gina’s Picture Show are a mash-up of gifted musicians groomed at Boston’s notorious Berklee College of Music.  The band features Jeni Magana (upright bass), Matt Weber (Percussion), Stoddy Blackall (Keys), and Shay Spence (Guitars).  Gina’s Picture Show cooks up an eclectic musical mix that keeps its listeners clamoring for more.
