Hogan's of Orangeburg Grand Re-Opening

Hogan’s Diner of Orangeburg will be holding a Grand Re-Opening on December 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 17 Dutch Hill Road.  The event will consist of raffles, free goodies, and even a visit from Santa.

Diner owner Nick Hogan wants to celebrate his customers and the sixteen year anniversary of this Orangeburg eatery.  Hogan states, “I am here because of my customers and I want them to know that I appreciate them and hope to serve them for many years to come.”  Hogan truly believes in giving back to the local community—he never refuses a request for food or donations, whether it’s from the local charities or the teams and clubs of the local colleges and high schools.

In the spirit of giving back, Hogan plans to host a donation at the grand re-opening to benefit the local victims of storm sandy.

This event is unique in that it was designed and developed by Hogan in conjunction with a Public Relation Class from St. Thomas Aquinas College.

“It gives me great pleasure to provide the students at St. Thomas Aquinas College with a real world application of the skills they are learning in class,” Hogan said.

Students have been working with Hogan since September on various Public Relations strategies.  Andrew Romanella, a senior at St. Thomas Aquinas College, explains, “Mr. Hogan is a genuinely great man. He really cares about his customers and about the local college students.”

The Public Relation class has been planning the details of this event and hope the experience will add to their resume and provide a talk point for future interviews.

Student Ted Gilmartin—who will play Santa at the event—said, “The Hogan’s class project is challenging and stressful, but has really provided me with a context for the textbook information we learn in class.  We are all grateful for the opportunity and can’t wait to see our plans come to life.”

Hogan’s Diner of Orangeburg has been serving the Orangeburg community for since 1996. They are open seven days a week and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Contact the owner, Nick Hogan, at 845-365-3166.  Visit Hogan’s of Orangeburg on Facebook at www.facebook.com/hogansdiner.
