ST.THOMAS AQUINAS COLLEGE TO INDUCT 17TH ANNUAL HALL OF FAME CLASS

 St. Thomas Aquinas College's Alumni Association will induct eight alumni and two 2014 Spartan Award honorees into its prestigious Alumni Hall of Fame on Friday, January 24, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at The Rockleigh (Rockleigh, NJ), announced Kevin P. Duignan, vice president for institutional advancement at the College.

 

“Each year we look forward to honoring the new inductees at the Annual Hall of Fame Dinner.  We are proud of the variety of individuals who have either graced our campus as undergraduate and graduate students or taken a keen interest in our growth as friends of the College,” said Duignan.

The following individuals will be inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame:

Sr. Eileen Richard Leavy, O.P., (Bronx, NY) a member of the Class of 1964, is the chair of the sciences department at Aquinas High School (Bronx, NY).

 

Christian Kopf, (Garnerville, NY) a member of the Class of 1977, is a partner and certified public accountant at O’Connor Davies, an accounting firm based in the tri-state area.

 

Janet Ubriaco Humiston, (Oradell, NJ) a member of the Class of 1982, is a special education teacher at Franklin Elementary School (Bergenfield, NJ).

 

Jeanne Ubriaco Costello, (Hillsdale, NJ) a member of the Class of 1982, is an elementary and English as a second language teacher at Jefferson and Franklin Elementary Schools (Bergenfield, NJ).

 

Leonard Guddemi, (Warwick, NY) a member of the Class of 1984, is a vice president at SunGard Availability Services (Carlstadt, NJ).

 

James Schneider, (Paramus, NJ) a member of the Class of 1986, is the chief technology officer at KPMG, an audit, tax and advisory services firm throughout the United States.

 

Hayley Marie Marshall Schneider, (Paramus, NJ) a member of the Class of 1986, is a second grade teacher at Crescent Elementary School (Waldwick, NJ).

 

Blair DeWitt (Upton, MA) a member of the Class of 1993, is a global practice manager at EMC, a worldwide data storage technology company.

 

The STAC Alumni Association's 2014 Spartan Awards will be presented to Thomas Collins (Pearl River, NY) and Anthony DiPilla (Montvale, NJ).  Collins is the current director of Rockland CYO Basketball and the former basketball coach at Pearl River High School (NY) and Athletic Director at Albertus Magnus High School (Bardonia, NY).   DiPilla is the president of Quality Communications (Hasbrouck Heights, NJ).

The event will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of the St. Thomas Aquinas College Class of 1964.
