Kaplan SAT Practice Test 

When/Where: Saturday, April 6 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m./ Orangeburg Library
Why Go: Take a free practice SAT test and receive an evaluation from Kaplan.

College Fair @ Palisades Center

When/Where: Thursday, April 4 from 5 to 9 p.m./1000 Palisades Center Drive, West Nyack
Why Go: The Rockland College Fair will be hosting its 3rd annual college night with over 40 colleges, universities, etc. on-hand to speak one on one with incoming and transfer college students.  Students can get information regarding temporary employment, banking information, how to buy textbooks, apply for grants and various other services. Enter to win an IPAD.

Talina and Friends Concert for Autism Awareness and Anti-Bullying

When/Where: Saturday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m./ Suffern Community Center on 41 Washington Ave. in Suffern.
Why Go: Talina Toscanno, who has Autism, will perform a mix of original songs with cover music at a concert supporting autism awareness and the fight against bullying. Proceeds from admission go to MarbleJam Kids, a not-for-profit organization that provides opportunities for individuals with disorders on the autism spectrum and other developmental disabilities
Cost/Contact: $5 for adults, $3 for students.

Harlem Wizards vs. Woodglen Elementary
When/Where: Friday, April 5 at 7 p.m./Clarkstown High School South, 31 Demarest Mill Rd, West Nyack
Why Go: Come see the Harlem Wizards take on the Woodglen staff and 5th grade students!! Join us for basketball talent mixed with hilarious comedy. Harlem Wizards merchandise will be sold and there will be a 50/50 raffle.

Hoops 4 Dana
When/Where: Sunday, April 7 at 10:30 am/Clarkstown High School North, 151 Congers Rd, New City
Why Go: “3 ON 3” BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT sponsored by Friends of Dana, in conjunction with Clarkstown North Interact Club, Town of Clarkstown and the Clarkstown Policemen’s Benevolent Association. All proceeds will go to the “Friends of Dana.” This organization was founded in memory of Dana Sassano and will fund a scholarship and continue Dana’s mission of helping those in need.

Youth for Hospice Dance-A-Thon
When/Where: Friday, April 5 from 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m./Albertus Magnus High School. Doors close at 9 p.m.
Why Go: Raise money to support United Hospice of Rockland by finding sponsors for participating and earn 3.5 community service hours. Complimentary refreshments will be provided. Free t-shirts guaranteed to those who pre-register. Participants who raise $100 or more are entered into a grand prize drawing.

Nyack-Valley Cottage Little League Parade
When/Where: Saturday, April 6 at 10:15 a.m., down Main St. to South Broadway, onto DePew Ave. and ending in Memorial Park
Why Go: The parade will include Nyack-Valley Cottage players, the Nyack Schools marching band, fire trucks, antique cars, league sponsors and local officials. Opening day ceremonies begin at 11 a.m. in Memorial Park, including a ribbon cutting for the new baseball field. There will be music, food and games for kids and adults, with the first game at 12:15 p.m.

Rebuild Hi-Tor Fundraiser
When/Where: Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m./Flip 'n Dip, 228 E Route 59, Nanuet
Why Go: Fundraiser for Rebuild Hi-Tor. 10 percent of all sales will go to theRebuild Hi-Tor Animal Shelter campaign. Come out and enjoy your favorite treats while helping a good cause.
