Cardinal Timothy Dolan made his way to the grandstand before the start of the Rockland County St. Patrick's Day Parade in Pearl River Sunday.
Then he made his way off it, greeting the crowd and making new friends, young and old, even as Parade Commander Lt. Michael Maroney and the Orangetown Police Department Honor Guard made their way down Central Avenue.
"It's great," Dolan said. "I'm for anything that prolongs the celebration of St. Patrick's Day."
