Columbus Day Parade to March Up Middletown Sunday

State Senator David Carlucci (D-New City) will be the grand marshal of the 2011 Columbus Day Parade.

The Rockland County Columbus Association, Inc. will put on the 37th Rockland County Columbus Day Parade from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

The parade will leave from Pfizer's Pearl River Campus and head up Middletown Road, ending at the Macy's parking lot on Route 59.

State Senator David Carlucci (D-New City), who is the secretary to the New York State Italian American Legislators, will be the grand marshal. He will be on the corner of 1st Street and South Middletown Road, nearl his district office, handing out 1,000 cannolis made by the Rockland Bakery.

Street parking will not be permitted on Middletown Road all day Sunday. Cars parked along the road will be towed.
