Emmett's Castle Announces New Year's Event, Fundraiser for Special Olympics

Emmett's Castle at Blue Hill will donate $10 from each ticket sold for its dinner/comedy package New Year's Eve to Special Olympics of New York.

Emmett's Castle at Blue Hill will be supporting athletes with special needs and providing New Year's Eve entertainment this year.

The bar and restaurant at Blue Hill Golf Course announced that $10 from each ticket sold to the New Year's Eve Comedy/Dinner Package will go to Special Olympics of New York, which provides training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

Tickets cost $100 per person and include a five-course dinner the comedy show and three-hour open bar. There will be two seatings, 5:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Emmett's Castle will run its safe ride program that night, with a bus picking up and dropping off patrons within an eight-mile radius. Comedy Veteran Jim Mendrinos will be the headliner for the event. He performs at Ceaser's and for Carnival Cruise Lines and wrote "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Comedy Writing."

New York City comic Doug Adler will host the event, with New City native Regina DeCicco and Maria Walsh also performing.
