Worship Service for Shavuot

Beth Am Temple is holding two special worship services for Shavuot, the anniversary of the giving of the Ten Commandments and the Torah. On Tuesday evening, June 7 at 7:30 pm, the students of the Confirmation Class will lead an original service for the holiday whose theme is "Dreams." The students are contributing original and selected materials for this 3,300 year old holiday, which is one of the three traditional pilgrimage festivals of the Jewish calendar year.

Beth Am Temple, a Reform Jewish temple, is a welcoming environment for Jewish and interfaith singles, couples, and families from Rockland and Bergen counties; approximately two thirds of the members come from Rockland with the balance residing in Bergen County. Beth Am offers K-12 religious school, Tot Shabbat, Hebrew School for children with special needs, adult torah study, senior programs, youth groups, a dynamic new cantor, monthly family services, and much more! For more information, call 845-735-5858 or visit their website to download a membership packet. Beth Am Temple is located at 60 E. Madison Avenue, in Pearl River, just a few blocks east of Route 304. www.BethAmTemple.org.
