Filming NBC Series "The Blacklist" Continues in Pearl River

The tires of one truck screeched as it made a sharp turn from Jefferson Avenue on to Main Street in Pearl River Wednesday morning, quickly followed by another similar vehicle.

Then they went back and did it all again more than once, eventually adding a special car with video cameras on the front and rear between the trucks.

The stunt was part of the filming for the new NBC series "The Blacklist" in Pearl River, which began Wednesday and will continue Thursday. Crews also set up a farmer's market one block up Jefferson on Ridge Street in Pearl River. A section of Ridge Street was closed for the entire time they were filming while traffic was stopped intermittently on Main Street and Jefferson Ave. Parking was closed on much of Main Street as well Wednesday.

"The Blacklist" stars James Spader  as Raymond "Red" Reddington, one of the FBI's most wanted men who turns himself in after 20 years of avoiding capture. He offers to help the FBI, but insists on working only with a rookie agent who he seemingly has no connection to, Elizabeth Keen, played by Megan Boone. Boone was part of the shot at the farmer's market set up on Ridge Wednesday.

The premiere episode of "The Blacklist" airs Sept. 23 at 10 p.m. on NBC.
