Grab & Go Kids Planner: Wii for Big Kids and Valentine's Day Art Auction

Now that the groundhog hasn't seen its shadow and we can expect Spring's early arrival, let's take some cold comfort in the final days of winter by enjoying some of these fun indoor activities and family-oriented events.

Why Go? Home improvement season, a.k.a. Spring, is just weeks away. Get ideas and answers to all your decorating, landscaping and home-improvement questions.

3. HUDSON VAGABOND PUPPETS PRESENTS (www.hvpuppets.org)

SUNY Rockland Community College, Cultural Arts Theater, 145 College Road, Suffern. Saturday, Feb. 12th at 2:30 p.m.
Why Go? Youngsters will be entertained as the Hudson Vagabond theater company interprets two classic children’s bedtime stories using life-sized puppets.

4. VALENTINE ART AUCTION (www.sainttmargaretschool.com)
Where/When:
St. Margaret of Antioch Church, Toner Hall, 34 North Magnolia Street, Pearl River; Sunday, Feb. 13 at 1:00 p.m.
Why Go? A picture speaks a thousand words, and supporting a local school’s fundraising efforts speaks volumes.
Pricing: Free; Go bid, or go home.

5. CELTIC NIGHT AT DOMINICAN COLLEGE (www.dc.edu)
Where/When:
Dominican College, 470 Western Highway, Orangeburg; Sunday, Feb. 13
Why Go? Dominican College hosts its’ first Celtic Night on campus with Eileen Ivers and Immigrant in concert. The New York Times has called Eileen Ivers “…the Jimi Hendrix of the fiddle.”
