The call for items to aid Hurriane Sandy victims went out for Monday and the result was a school bus packed with donations before it left the Hibernian House in Pearl River.

The Rockland County Ladies and Men's Ancient Order of Hibernians collected baby and adult clothing, blankets, food, cleaning and demolition supplies for those in need due to the storm. The bus was sent to New York City and Long Island, while a separate truck took items to Stony Point.

"The response was phenomenal," said Joan Moore, president of the Rockland County Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians. "The bus was jammed up tot the roof with clothes, diapers, medical supplies, carriages, disinfectant, bleach. This will be going on all week."
