Hibernians Taking Donations for Sandy Victims

There will be a truck leaving the Hibernian House in Pearl River with supplies for victims of Hurricane Sandy 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

The Rockland County Ancient Order of Hibernians and Ladies AOH continue to gather and distribute supplies for victims of Hurricane Sandy. 

They will load a truck at the Hibernian House at 28 Railroad Avenue in Pearl River 10:30 a.m. Sunday, which will then stop at another location before taking the donations to people still needing aid.

They are no longer collecting clothing. The items accepted for donations are as follows:

  • Medical Supplies
  • Crowbars
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Water
  • Blanket
  • Formula
  • Diapers
  • Wipes
  • Gatorade
  • Non-perishable food (no cans)
  • Bleach 
  • Power bars
  • Rubber gloves
  • Peanut butter
  • Paper towel
  • Handle wipes
  • Toiletries 
  • Broom/brushes
  • Crayons and coloring books for children in shelters.
