Not many people know about this event......there should have been sooner notice on Patch and a public service notice in the Journal News. A few banners in the areas to be cleaned would help. Maybe local business could be recruited to help with publicizing this event.

Stop by the Gazebo in Central Avenue field for the Pearl River Cleanup and enjoy the Pearl River School of Irish Music, including the All Ireland winning Under 12 Ceili Band!

To the families who knew in advance and signed up, to those who passed by today and stopped to pitch in, or just honked and waved in support... THANK YOU! To all: Please care about our community, and stop throwing trash as you walk, or out of car windows. Teach your children the same. And, remember ANY DAY you choose to clean-up a trail, neighborhood, area, creek.. it matters. One day a year is not what really matters, nor does a flyer or large sign. Spring is here. Go out tomorrow. Or, the next day and pitch in. Support & register on-line at keeprocklandbeautiful.org and the town will pick up the bags. Pay it forward.
