Neil Berg Brings Broadway to Beth Am Temple for 50th Anniversary Celebration

Composer Neil Berg adapted his show "50 Years of Broadway" for a performance at Beth Am Temple in Pearl River May 4.

 

Beth Am Temple in Pearl River will continue its 50th Annversary celebration with composer Neil Berg's "50 Years of Broadway" on May 4 at 7 p.m.

The performance is an adaptation of Berg's "100 Years of Broadway," which recreates the greatest moments from Broadway shows such as "Les Miserables," "The Phantom of the Opera," "Jesus Christ Superstar" and "Jeckyll and Hyde."

Berg's Leftfield Productions, Inc. in Nyack has produced Broadway concerts with stars including Bernadette Peters, Ben Vereen, Rita Moreno, Liz Callway and Sir Cliff Richard.

Berg was honored by the Rockland Family Shelter with a Distinguished Citizens' Award in 2010 for his efforts to help abused women. He was named The American Red Cross Man of the Year for Rockland County in 2001, then honored by the United Hospice Foundation in 2013.

Tickets for the May 4 show are $36, and $72 for Gold Circle tickets, which include a meet and greet with Berg before the show and prime seats. There will be a dessert reception after the show.
