Pearl River Rotary Announces Soapbox Race Dates
The annual Pearl River Soapbox Race is set for June 2, 2013 on Central Avenue.
The Pearl River Rotary Club announced that this year's Soapbox Race will roll down Central Ave. June 2.
The annual race, which returned in 2000 after being discontinued in 1975, draws an average of 70 competitors each year.
Registration will be held at Pearl River Middle School March 21 and March 28 at 7 p.m. The car inspection and practice run is set for Sunday, May 19. Participants must be at least eight and no more than 16 years old.

Entry fees pay for the cost of the race, with all remaining funds going to the Wounded Warrior Fund.
