Services Set for Jeff Chanin Of Pearl River

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Nauraushaun Presbyterian Church for Jeff Chanin, the Pearl River man who was killed when a tree fell on his home during Hurricane Sandy.

Services for Jeff Chanin of Pearl River will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10 at Nauraushaun Presbyterian Church in Pearl River. The burial will follow at Rockland Cemetary.

Chanin was killed and three other members of his family were injured when a tree fell on their home in Pearl River during Hurricane Sandy.

The community continues to rally in support of the Chanin family. The Orangetown Mighty Midgets announced that they will donate th proceeds from their Casino Night to the Chanins. The event is set for Friday, Nov. 16 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Casa Mia Manor House in Blauvelt. The cost to attend is $50 per person. For more information or to prepay, go to www.ommsoccer.org.
