Pearl River St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Where/When: On Sun., Mar. 20, the second largest St. Patrick’s Day parade in New York State will step off at 1:30 p.m. from the Pfizer parking lot off of Middletown Road in Pearl River.
Why Go?: It’s the second-largest St. Patrick's Day parade in New York State, and a great day for people of all ages to enjoy bagpipes, drums, and Irish step dancers and Irish pride on parade.

Maple Sugar Tours

Where/When: Hudson Highlands Nature Museum Outdoor Discovery Center, entrance at 100 Muser Drive, across from 174 Angola Rd. in Cornwall. Tours are Saturdays and Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tours start every half hour and last about 45 minutes. Tour dates are Mar. 19, 20, 26 and 27.
Why go? Pancakes and waffles wouldn’t taste the same without the sugary goodness of maple syrup. Maple sugar products and hot chocolate are available for purchase in the Visitors Center gift shop. Call 845.534.5506 for more information.

Spanish/English Bilingual Story Time

“What’s Really Cool?” Conference

Fielding Room of the Finkelstein Memorial Library, 24 Chestnut St., Spring Valley; Sat., Mar. 19 from noon to 1:30 p.m. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and close at 12:30 p.m.
Why Go? The 9th Annual “What’s Really Cool?” Conference empowers young women in grades 7 – 12 to make positive decisions that will bring success. Only 100 girls admitted and each gets a goody bag. No younger siblings please. Refreshments will be served. Call 845.267.2172, ext. 324 for more details.
