Sullivan Foundation Get-Together Draws Crowd Despite Weather

Friday evening's snow did not keep the crowd away from the Carolyn Sullivan Memorial Foundation's winter get-together Friday at The Saloon in Pearl River.

The Carolyn Sullivan Memorial Foundation Winter Get-Together drew a crowd to the Saloon in Pearl River despite the snow falling Friday evening.

"The night was a great success," said Jeanne Sullivan, Carolyn Sullivan's mother. "We had a large crowd come out to support us in spite of the bad weather. This night continues to be a one of our favorite fundraisers as it's always a fun, casual night out with friends."

The foundation raises money to help children battling illness and their families in the name Carolyn Sullivan, who was eight years old when she passed away due to a brain tumor in 2009.

The night included a raffle with the major prizes donated locally. One prize was four tickets to see Taylor Swift perform at the Prudential Center, which were donated by JoAnn Kelly. The Saloon donated an open bar for three hours (up to 20 people). Larry Vergine donated two tickets to see the New York Rangers play the Tampa Bay Lightning at Madison Square Garden.
