Tell Us Of the Gathering Storm

With Hurricane Irene threatening the East Coast, Patch is asking our readers to share their pictures, videos and stories if the storm does hit Pearl River this weekend. UPDATE with Red Cross statement.

The Lower Hudson Valley is expected to feel heavy winds and rain Sunday from Hurricane Irene —a powerful category 3 hurricane currently blowing throughthe Bahamas.

The first tropical storm and hurricane watches in the United States were issued Thursday morning for North and South Carolina. Current projections show Irene coming to New York Sunday.

According to AccuWeather, Pearl River could see torrential downpours along with heavy winds, which would lead to flooding.
