Seeing Music at Blue Hill Plaza

"Seeing Music" at the Blue Hill Cultural Center at Blue Hill Plaza in Pearl River highlights the work of four American artists: photographer Tom Artin, sculptor Judith Peck and painters John Laurenzi and Michael Singletary.

Curator Carolyn DeLisser says the artists focus on a moment of musical impact in Jazz performance, personal or community relationship, visual composition or ordinary movement and meditation. She notes that though diverse in experience and style, the artists are linked in this exploration into the language of music, and the visible signs of its impact on individuals, relationships, visual compositions, and how people communicate through music.

The Blue Hill Art and Cultural Center of Blue Hill Plaza has been the site for major exhibitions of art since 1984.
