More than 100 runners joined by an equal number of walkers participated in the 22nd Annual "Be Healthy 5K Run-Walk" at Nyack Hospital on Sunday morning.
Hosted by the Nyack Hospital Foundation, proceeds from the event supported their "Blow Away Breast Cancer" drive, which helps fund free screenings and other services for Rockland County residents.
The event featured a race and walk along a 3.1-mile course through the streets around the hospital.
Ahmed Ahmed of Valley Cottage won the race with Courtenay Hutmacher of Pearl River finishing first among female competitors.
Awards were handed out among several age group categories.
