A Few Options On Where To Watch The Giants Game

A few of the local bars in Rockland where you can watch the Giants try and make the Super Bowl

The NFL playoffs are sure to draw fans out to the bar to watch, but when the New York Giants are still hanging around, local interest is even heavier.

So this Sunday at 6:30 p.m. when the Giants face the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game with a chance to go to the Super Bowl, it’s a safe bet that plenty of bars all of Rockland will be quite crowded.

For those looking to head out and watch a game, here a just a few of the many options you have.

- 66 Main Street, Nyack - 358-0180

This local favorite has been a hangout to some for close to 50 years, and is a popular place for those looking to enjoy the game.

“During all playoff games, including the Giants game, we’re offering a special at the bar,” said Barry Koch, the weekend manager. “Two for Bud Lights and two for Coors Lights bottles, and we’re also doing 20 cent wings. That’s’ only available at the bar. It goes from start of game until the end. So if the two games overlap, that special could be going on for close to seven straight hours.”

Koch said the bar certainly perks up a bit during playoff season, especially when a local team is still involved.

- 33 West Central Avenue, Pearl River - 620-9523

This sit-down restaurant also has a bar area and plenty of big screen TVs to watch the game.

During football games they offer a number of specials at the bar on a wide variety of items, including hamburger and cheeseburger sliders, pulled pork sliders, nachos, hot dogs and wings.

They also have $3 bottles of Budweiser, Bud Light, Miller Lite and Coors Light.

- 191 South Main Street, New City - 845-638-1818

This restaurant features a bar area and plenty of tables with views of at least one of its 31 LCD flat screen TVs.

The large menu has a variety of bar favorites, as well as pasta, steak, seafood and more.

- 275 South Middletown Road, Nanuet - 845-623-1771

This place has a bar area with five large flat screen TVs, and offers a menu of your traditional bar favorites, along with pasta, soup and seafood, including shrimp scampi and mustard-crusted chicken.
