Timothy P. Cawley will take over as president and chief executive officer of Orange & Rockland Utilities effective Dec. 1 of this year.
Cawley is currently senior vice president of Central Operations for Consolidated Edison, which owns O&R. He will be replacing current O&R President and CEO John McAvoy, who was named President and CEO of Con Ed. Kevin Burke is retiring from that position Dec. 31.
Cawley has worked for Con Ed in various capacities since 1987, including director of Gas Operations at O&R.
