Pearl River's Dance Central Looking Ahead To Summer

Summer classes start July 16

While just finished up its current classes with an end-of-year recital, there’s still plenty coming up for the school.

The dance school in its fifth year is still registering for summer classes, which run July 16-Aug. 25. They offer classes for a wide age range, from pre-kindergarten and kindergarten all the way through adult classes. They teach ballet, hip hop, tap, jazz and even have a mommy and me class.

Kim Cristino, one of the owners, said they also have a zumba class and are possibly going to take a trip to see “Newsies” on Broadway.

“Our performance team is also competing in a national competition in July in Wildwood, New Jersey,” she said.

The team consists of about 25 dancers from ages 10 to 17, although most of the team is older. They qualified in a previous competition in Hackensack for the Dance Xplosion Dance Finals which began Saturday and contue through July 14.
