You're time-pressed enough, so we're happy to do the research and find the best things to do and places to go, both locally and within reasonable striking distance.

Rockland County St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Pearl River
When/Where:
Sunday March 18, leaving Pfizer at 1:30 p.m. The parade route takes Middletown Road, then down Central Avenue in Pearl River.
Why Go:
The second-largest St. Patrick’s Day Parade in New York State is known for being family-friendly despite the huge massive crowds. The 50th anniversary parade will include many of the past grand marshals along with dancers, marching bands and representatives from all over Rockland County. Get there early. Over 50,000 spectators are expected and parking spots disappear fast.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Pearl River Library
When/Where:
Thursday, March 15 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Pearl River Public Library Community Room
Why Go:
For children in kindergarten through third grade. Participate in arts and crafts and share a treat with St. Patrick’s Day themes.

Open Bounce and Field Day at West Rock
When/Where:
Friday, March 16 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.at West Rock Sports and Indoor Entertainment Complex
Why Go:
It’s for Boys and Girls ages 5+;  Come and enjoy a fun filled day of inflatables, sports & activities. Counselors will create teams to compete in relay races, kickball, dodgeball, basketball, soccer and more.

$20 includes lunch / West Rock Sports and Indoor Entertainment Complex

Child Care Resources of Rockland Spring Fling
When/Where:
Saturday, March 17 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Kids Kingdom
Why Go:
Celebrate spring and St. Patrick’s Day at the “Kingdom”, a unique indoor playground equipped with a huge castle air bounce, jungle gym with a ball pool, slides, tunnels, life size building blocks, a two level-loft with a market, pirate ship, teddy town and another castle filled with props. There will be games, crafts, face painting, raffles, snacks, goodie bags, entertainment and it benefits Child Care Resources of Rockland.
Cost/Contact:
$15 per Child; $5 for Children Under 2 yrs.; Adult must accompany children, FREE. Includes All Activities. All Proceeds to benefit CCRR. Space is Limited. Pre-registration Encouraged for All. Walk-ins Welcome. Groups Must Pre-register, please. 

A.C. Moore Celebrates National Craft Month
When/Where:  1-3 p.m. both days. Saturday, March 17 -  Make-and-Take Floam ® Project and Sunday, March 18 -  Make’n Mold ® Candy Egg Bark Demonstration at A.C. Moore in Nanuet
Why Go: Both the experienced and novice crafter can participate in this nationally celebrated craft month with free, fun activities offered by all 134 A.C. Moore stores.  They are offering free demonstrations and “Make and Take” projects devised for the beginner or experienced crafter throughout the month. You can enter your chance to win a $500 or $50 gift card to get the supplies you need to get crafting.

One Day Garden Planning/Seed Starting for Kids
When/Where:
Friday, March 16/Street School Community Center, 31 Zukor Road, New City
Why Go:
Let’s get kids thinking about what veggies they want to grow at home! We will cover designing a small garden, in the ground and in containers, then starting seedlings to bring home. Eligible: Grades 4-8

Bowling Fundraiser For New City Chamber Scholarships
When/Where:
Sunday, March 18 at 4 pm/New City Bowl & Batting Cages, 90 N Main St, New City
Why Go:
The New City Chamber of Commerce is hosting a bowling fundraiser at New City Bowl.  Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used for the $2,000 scholarships that the Chamber will be awarding to a Clarkstown North High School student and a Clarkstown South High School student.The fundraiser is open to the general public .
Cost/Contact:

Carnegie Room Concerts: March
