The Bergen County Railroad Club's Annual Model Train Display Show drew its largest crowds ever to United Methodist Church in Pearl River last year.
The 23rd annual show begins 10 a.m. Saturday, with addiional dates Feb. 19, 20, 25 and 26 and March 3 and 4.
The show includes four layouts:
- "O" Gauge Toy Train
- Thomas the Tank and Friends
- "O" Gauge Hi-Rail
- Standard and "S" Guage Trains
The guage is the size of the train. Many of the accessories have buttons that participants can activate.
"The show has something for everyone, young and old alike," said Tom McCafferty of the Bergain Count Model Railroad Club. "This is not a show where you can buy trains. No, this is strictly a display show where the club members run their trains for the enjoyment of the public.
"The show has many fans based on the amount of people who return every year to see what new scenes the club members have built. It is a show that tugs on our nostalgia for those days whedn model trains were a centerpiece on Christmas morning."
