O&R Continues Distributing Dry Ice

With thousands of customers without power, Orange & Rockland continues to bring in work crews, with a total of 570 crews being the largest number the company has ever utilized.

Orange & Rockland Utilities will be giving out dry ice at three locations from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.

The locations are:

  • Provident Bank Park in Pomona
  • Bergen County Office of Emergency Management in Mahwah, NJ
  • CVS Pharmacy in Greenwood Lake, NY

O&R reported 17,300 customers in Rockland County were without power Thursday morning. The utility company added that more workers have been brought in from outside the area, raising the total number of crews working power restoration to 570, the most ever utilized by Orange & Rockland.

Of approximately 130,000 total customers in all of O&R's service area who were left without power due to the storm, approximately 28,000 remained iwthout service as of 4 a.m. Thursday.
