Pearl River Chamber Introduces Cash on the Town

The Pearl River Chamber of Commerce is now offering gift certificates to encourage shopping at places of business in Pearl River.

One function the Pearl River Chamber of Commerce serves is to support businesses in town.

To that end, the chamber started its Cash on the Town program, offering gift certificates that can be redeemed at participating businesses in town.

"The purpose of this campaign is to encourage people to “Shop Local” and keep their spending in Pearl River for gifts and any occasion," chamber member Michelle Worob wrote in a letter sent out to Pearl River businesses. "We are trying to educate the public on how important it is to support their local businesses since we support the public in so many ways."

The gift certificates come in denominations of $10, $15 and $25. They can be purchesed through the Pearl River Chamber of Commerce website or by going to MadelynRose on E. Central Avenue. There is a $4.95 shipping and handling fee for online purchases, but not for gift certificates bought at MadelynRose.

The following Pearl River businesses accept Cash on the Town gift certificates.

  • Arcade 2 Go
  • Ben’s Jewelers
  • Cooktivity
  • D&D Design
  • Danu Gallery
  • Elegant Balloons
  • Luigi O’Grady’s Deli & Catering
  • MadelynRose
  • Mr. Carmelo’s Custom Tailor
  • Muddy Brook Cafe
  • PJ the DJ/Holt Entertainment
  • Ray Sheridam Financial
  • The Saloon
  • Southbound Cafe
  • The Toy Box

Buyers should note that businesses accepting the gift certificates will not give back change if the amount of the gift certificate is greater than the cost of the item being purchased.
