Pearl River Idol: Pearl River Day's Karaoke Competition
Contestants ages 11 to 19 compete for a chance to win singing the competition Pearl River Idol as part of Pearl River Day Oct. 1.
Eager competitors ages 11 through 19 auditioned at the Pearl River Public Library Sept 14th for a chance to sing as part of Pearl River Day.
Residents of Orangetown and Nanuet were eligible to compete.
Auditions were held previously in August to choose the first five performers. September's auditions will round the group to an even 10, much like the namesake competition American Idol.
