Pearl River's Dance Central Wins Top Score in Competition

Dance Central Performing Arts won the Xcalibur Award for top score of the day

The Dance Central Company Competitition team brought home the Xcalibur Award for highest score of the day Sunday at the Dancexplosion competition in Hackensack, NJ.

The Xcalibur Award goes to the top score in all divisions. Dance Central's Junior/Senior team (ages 14-up) won it for its hip-hop performance.

Dance Central peforming arts, located on Cental Avenue in Pearl River, will send its Company Competition team to nationals in Wildwood, NJ July 9-14. The Xcalibur Award gives them access for free.

Kim Crispino and Annie Paratore own and operate Dance Cetnral, now in its fifth year.

“We are so proud of our dancers, they have grown with us over the past five years to see them develop into such wonderful young adults and such beautiful dancers brings joy to us and our dancing family,”  They said.  “Their countless hours of technical training and tireless rehearsals has really paid off for them, they deserve everything they won today.”

The Junior/Senior team also won a platiunum award in an open category and three Xtreme Gold Awards. The Tweens (ages 10-13) won an Xtreme Gold for their tap performance. Company Competition as a whole won plaques for first, third, fifth, sixth and seventh places overall.
