Rockland Economic Development Corp. Announces Honorees

The Rockland Economic Development Corporation will hold its awards luncheon Nov. 22 at the IBM Executive Conference Center in Palisades.

The REDC announced the following award winners last week:

  • Award of Distiction: Rockland Community College President Dr. Cliff L. Wood will receive the Award of Distinction. 
  • Manufacturer of the Year: Celtic Sheet Metal, Inc of Congers
  • Entrepreneur of the Year: Adam Lipson, who volunteers with the American Red Cross of Greater New York, People to People, the Center for Safety and change and the Nyack Center among others.
  • Service Provider of the Year: The Salvation Army
  • C. Scott Vanderhoef will receive a special award recognizing his two decades of work as Rockland County Executive
Empire State Development President & CEO Kenneth Adams, the commissioner of New York State's Department of Economic Development, will be the keynote speaker at the awards luncheon. Adams works to support business development and to attract new businesses to the state. 

The event begins with a networking reception at 11:30 a.m. The luncheon starts at noon. Costs to attend include individual seats for $60 or $1,000 to sponsor a table. For more information, call the REDC at (845) 735-7040.
