Shop Locally in Pearl River on Small Business Saturday

Start your holiday shopping by visiting locally owned Pearl River stores during Small Business Saturday — this weekend.

Small Business Saturday is Nov. 24 this year, two days after Thanksgiving. It is a day for everyone to support the small businesses that their community thrives on.

American Express founded the day in 2010 to help small businesses get exposure during the holiday season, when they might be otherwise overlooked.

With retailers buzzing around the holidays, it is important to support local small businesses that rely on their neighbors in order to continue prospering and building the local economy in Pearl River.

Last year, 100 million people nationwide participated in Small Business Saturday by shopping at locally owned stores to help boost the economy and their communities.

Many Pearl River businesses are participating. To find the full list for the surrounding area, visit the Shop Small site and search "Pearl River" in the "Find Out Where To Shop" tab to pull up the town's local list.

You can also “like” Small Business Saturday on Facebook by visiting www.facebook.com/shopsmall.

Everyone has locally owned businesses in their community, and shopping on Small Business Saturday is the perfect way to give back to the businesses you know and love in your community.

We shop at Ben's Jewelers for unique gifts at fair prices.... They have a wide selection, and if we don't see what we're looking for, they do their best to try to find it for us in catalogs, and order it. We also find the best gift for ourselves......Ben and Simi !!!!! They are the two nicest shipowners in Pearl River.......and beyond! They are more than just shop owners.....they are friends,...welcoming us warmly, whether we make a purchase or not! Their warmth, honesty, and helpfulness are their greatest advertisement !! We wish them continued success and a very Happy Holiday!
