Orange and Rockland Utilities’ Vegetation Management Department marked Arbor Day with presentations sponsored by O&R, the Spring Valley Rotary and Beckerle Lumber, about tree planting, development and growth to a total of 670 third and fourth graders in the East Ramapo School District.
The students were presented tree seedlings by Matt Beckerle of Beckerle Lumber and Mark Beamish, an O&R certified arborist. The team made presentations at Elmwood Elementary, Grandview, Hempstead Elementary, Fleetwood Primary and Summit Park schools.
