Pearl River Deli Among Rockland County Super Bowl Catering Options

For those looking to kick back on Sunday and watch the Super Bowl without worrying what to cook, there are plenty of options for places that will cater your parties.

Here are some of the places from around the county to choose from.

Luigi O’Grady’s Deli and Catering - 106 North Middletown Road, Pearl River - 845-735-9110

Owner Michelle Worob said the Super Bowl is always a busy weekend for Luigi’s, especially when a local team is involved with the game, such as this year. Luigi’s offers a number of special items during the weekend, including homemade guacamole, salsa, bruschetta and quesadillas. They also offer stromboli, individual cheese platters and a ton of wings.

Worob said one popular thing people are doing is ordering hot food, like the deli’s eggplant rollatini. She said another popular thing people are doing is ordering some of the deli’s Super Bowl packages. The deli offers two:

Package 1:

• One three-foot hero, either Italian or American
• One tray of wings, either hot, medium or mild
• Five pound salads, either potato, macaroni or cole slaw
• Feeds approximately 15
• $89.95

Package 2:

• Two three-foot hero, either Italian or American
• Two trays of wings, either hot, medium or mild
• Ten pound salads, either potato, macaroni or cole slaw
• Feeds approximately 30
• $179.95

“We sell a lot of those packages,” Worob said. “People like that they’re all-inclusive. There’s not thinking involved.”

Owner Cris Spezial said he hears from people who want their entire parties catered, as well as people who just want a dish or two to bring to someone else’s party. His Super Bowl menu has options for both.

He said his menu offers typical Super Bowl party items, like wings, pigs in a blanket, heroes and mozzarella sticks.

Nyack Gourmet’s Super Bowl menu also offers items like Vegetable Crudite with Ranch Herb Dip, Chicken & Cheese Cigars with Salsa, Texas style Vegetarian Veggie Chili, Pulled BBQ Pork Sliders and Sirloin Beef Meatballs.

For dessert, the menu also offers cookies, mini cupcakes, peanut butter truffles and brownies.

Nanuet Corner Cafe - 112 College Avenue, Nanuet - 845-623-4600

Owner David Scoccimarro said he sees a lot of extra business Super Bowl weekend when a local team makes it.

“We’re ready for it,” he said.

Corner Cafe offers a number of different items, as well as five packages.

Package 1:

Package 2:

• Three-foot hero, either Italian or American
• Buffalo wings
• Macaroni or potato salad

Package 3:

• Four-foot hero, either Italian or American

• Six-foot hero, either Italian or American
• Buffalo wings
• Macaroni or potato salad

Package 5:

• Six-foot hero, either Italian or American
• Bruschetta Platter
• Two trays of buffalo wings
• Macaroni and potato salad

All of those platters can be upgraded to a bigger size, Scoccimarro said, adding they can feed a wide range of people.

“How many you have at your party, however many you fit in your living room, we can feed them,” he said.

Owner Roxy Perrone said their Super Bowl specials have some great values where people can save a minimum of $25 up to about $40. She added that all packages come with free side salads, soda and delivery.

There are four packages, all with super sized options, Perrone said.
