First Niagara Provides Continued Support for Rockland Economic Development Corporation Small Business Center

The First Niagara Foundation announced a $5,000 grant to the  Rockland Economic Development Corporation (REDC) for its continued support of REDC’s Small Business Center (SBC), a free resource for small business owners, start-ups and entrepreneurs in Rockland County.

Located at REDC’s office in Pearl River, the Small Business Center offers small business owners the use of a computer, phone and other office equipment as well as office space and a conference room. Business owners have access to the internet and productivity software such as Microsoft Office 2007, Business Plan Pro and Marketing Plan Pro. In addition, they also have access to professionals for consultation about lending, cash management and other financial services, and introductions to business resources through the SBA, SBDC, and SCORE.

“The collaboration and cooperation between the REDC and First Niagara has been great. Our interests are strategically aligned which makes for a winning combination,” said Michael DiTullo, REDC President and CEO.  “The continued funding provided by First Niagara also is an opportunity to demonstrate to the Rockland County community that they are committed to growing businesses.”
