Friends, 

Orangetown made an important choice on Election Day. The referendum I've so passionately fought for passed, and the people voted to wind down the office of Receiver of Taxes.

I was not elected to be the last Receiver of Taxes, but it is important to know that in the long run that our most important goal was be accomplished. We won the war of ideas and ultimately this campaign has been about doing what was right for Orangetown and was not about one man winning an election. 

This was a long journey for me and it was one that I could only make with my friends and family behind me. I was humbled by your outpouring of support and especially for those new friends that I met during this long campaign. But now the time has come to take down the lawn signs and retire this campaign. 

Thank you for being part of this journey. Thank you for being there for me.
