More than 50 boys and girls ages eight to 16 participated in the 13th-annual Pearl River Rotary Club's Soap Box Race on East Central Ave. on Sunday morning.
Racers sped down the 1,000-foot track competing for savings bonds of $500, $250 and $100 for the top three finishers. Each participant received a medal.
All proceeds raised above the costs of the event were donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.
