Snow is a very real possibility according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch from Saturday morning through Saturday night for the lower Hudson Valley including Rockland County.

  • Heavy, wet snow with accumulations of one inch to eight inches.
  • Winds will be northeast from 10 to 20 miles per mile with gusts up to 30 miles per hour resulting in visibility of less than one mile at times.
  • Temperatures are expected to remain in the 30s.

According to the NWS, a mix of light snow and rain will begin Saturday morning with accumulations of one to two inches and change to all snow by late afternoon. Overnight snowfall could accumulate two to four inches. Travel could be potentially hazardous due to road conditions and tree limbs falling from the heavy wet snow.
