What do to for Father’s Day in Pearl River

Here is a list of local places to eat, shop and hang out while you celebrate your dad on Sunday, June 16.

Father’s Day is Sunday and though we may be scrambling for ideas on how to celebrate the man that taught us life’s most valuable lessons, that doesn’t mean we love him any less!

Give him presents – Everyone loves gifts, and though father’s are the ones who are usually giving them, they are no exception. Pearl River if full of places to pick-up those last minutes gift ideas, like a baseball hat, new electronics, perhaps cooking lessons.

For active father’s, you can get him a new bicycle from Bicycle Depoit, 9 E. Central Ave. Or if he’s a comic book buff, then head over to Comics Warehouse before Sunday, 52 S. Main St., as they are closed Sundays.

Fill his belly with food – You’ll want to make sure you call ahead to so you can be sure to treat your dad to a tasty meal or dessert.

Grab your dad some manly baked goods by Baked By Angels, at 3 Veterans Parkway, such as their “Slider with French Fries” that is a cupcake and cookies decorated to look like a small hamburger and fries.

Show him a good time - Father’s Day is a day to have fun with your family. Living in Pearl River, you won’t have to go far for a good time. Here are some local Father’s Day events happening on Sunday.

Father’s Day Road Race –Registration will begin at 7:15 a.m. and the race starts at 8:30 a.m. 

The Father’s Day Road Race will be held at the Pearl River Elks Lodge, 2041 Elks Drive in Nanuet and includes a 4-mile course through the streets of Nanuet and Pearl River. Onsite parking, food and beverages will be provided. 

Awards will be given to male and female runners, top three overall and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each of the five year increment age groups.

The entry fee is $25 and includes a t-shirt. For more information call (845) 623-2041.
