PEARL RIVER’S EMMETT’S CASTLE AT BLUE HILL HOSTS NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY

-NYC Comedy Show Dinner Package Helps Support Special Olympics of New York –

(Nov. 14th, 2012) Emmett’s Castle at Blue Hill is hosting a New Year’s Eve dinner and comedy show package that will help benefit the Special Olympics of New York, which provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-style sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

The show will be hosted by top New York City comic/emcee, Doug Adler.  Adler is a favorite at Gotham and Broadway Comedy Clubs where he regularly shares his autobiographical cast of characters, including his mother-in-law as part of his hilarious comic routine.

Regina DeCicco will also be performing.  DeCicco is a New City native and has become somewhat of an area celebrity after winning Lower Hud’s Funniest Person Contest in 2011 and the 2012 Ladies of Laughter national competition this past summer.  The daughter of one of the partner’s in the popular area DeCicco grocery chain, Regina is well on her way to becoming a national comedy star.

New York-area headliner, Maria Walsh, will be the lone Irish lass on the show.  Walsh, known as “America’s Naughtiest Mom,” looks like a classic SUV-driving, cappuccino drinking, suburban soccer mom, yet her version of “Twisted Parent” has earned her a place as one of the funniest women in America.

Headlining and closing the show is comedy veteran, Jim Mendrinos, who has shared the stage with Chris Rock, Colin Quinn and Sam Kinison.  He has written for Rodney Dangerfield, Joan Rivers, NBC’s Saturday Night Live and more.  He performs at Caesar’s and on Carnival Cruise Lines and is the author of the bestseller, “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Comedy Writing.”

Early reservations are suggested as seating is limited.  There are two seatings:  5:30pm and 9:00pm.  A five-course dinner will be served in the main dining room with the show immediately following in the adjoining banquet room, which will be transformed into a New York-style nightclub with pre and post show music.  The cost is $100.00 per person and includes a five-course dinner, comedy show and three-hour open bar, with ten dollars of each ticket going to the Special Olympics of New York.

Emmett’s Castle will run its “Safe Ride” program, providing a bus pick up and drop-off for surrounding area residents within an eight-mile radius.  Rides must be scheduled well in advance by calling Emmett’s directly.  Some restrictions apply.

For reservations and for more information on the Safe Ride program, call 845-735-3504.  Emmett’s Castle at Blue Hill is located at 285 Blue Hill Road in Pearl River.  For more information go to emmettscastle.com.
